ENRG Sport

Meet the Team

Callum Watt

Callum is a fourth-year Journalism student and the current co-editor of ENRG Sport alongside Calum Macaulay. He is also co-host of ENRG Sport’s weekly show on Radio ENRG and can usually be heard moaning about the latest Hibs game. Callum’s had his fair share of football-induced heartache but doesn’t let that dampen his love for the weird and wonderful world of Scottish football.

Aside from football Callum would watch almost any other sport, keeping up with the New York Knicks’ results in the NBA and San Francisco 49ers’ NFL exploits. Having started out with ENRG Sport in first year by attending games during the pandemic, Callum is now keen to help grow the brand and expand coverage even further by leading a talented team of contributors.

Calum Macaulay

Calum is a fourth-year Journalism student who’s lived in just about every postcode in Glasgow. The only sport he has much knowledge about is football, but that won’t stop him repeating what he’s heard from others when talking about other sports and passing it off as his own opinion. He is a lifelong Celtic fan who will most likely be seen slagging the Celtic board. Calum hopes for a career in sports broadcasting after graduating.

Angus McGregor

Angus is a fourth-year Journalism student and a former editor of ENRG Sport. Angus hopes to continue the good work done by the previous ENRG Sport teams and ensure that the site is producing insightful and interesting content.

When he’s not editing pieces, writing his own features or hosting podcasts, he can be found defending Livingston FC and plastic pitches.

Specialising in football, Angus’ aim within Sports Media is to help improve a wider spread of coverage within Scottish and Women’s football.

Calum Muldoon

Calum is a fourth-year Journalism student with a burning passion for all things sport and is the current co-Station Manager of Radio ENRG alongside Kyle Campbell. Calum’s main love is football and is a lifelong Celtic fan, but when he is not claiming Kyogo Furuhashi is the best striker on the planet, he is watching all things American sports. Calum dreams of being one of the leading sports journalists out there and releasing his work on a national or global level. Calum also hosts ENRG Sport’s radio show on a Tuesday and hopes to continue building his portfolio of work writing.

Kyle Campbell

Kyle is a fourth-year Journalism student and a contributor to ENRG Sport. Kyle’s main passion is football, following Hearts in the Scottish Premiership and Manchester United in the Premier League, but has an interest in a wide variety of sports. Kyle is a fan of the Miami Heat in the NBA, the New York Yankees in the MLB and closely follows Formula 1, NFL, boxing and golf. A fan of anything closely related sport, Kyle hopes to become a sports journalist and broadcaster in the future with a further dream of producing sports documentaries.

Tommy Hondros

Tommy is a fourth-year Journalism student and participates in the ENRG Sport radio show every Wednesday from 4-5pm along with his three co-hosts. Tommy is also an occasional contributor to The ENRG Sport Podcast.

Tommy is a lover of all things football and likes to think he has a good well-rounded knowledge of Scottish, English, and European football in general. Outside of sports, he enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching movies and TV shows, or mindlessly scrolling Twitter.

Tommy’s goal is to report on football sometime in the future and I look forward to continuing to progress my skills and doing more work for ENRG Sport in the time to come.

Brandon Bethune

Brandon is a fourth-year Journalism student with a love and passion for professional wrestling. He’s also an avid Manchester United fan and occasional NBA viewer, as well as once picking an NFL team out of a hat, who went on to win the SuperBowl (2016 Denver Broncos for the win!). You can expect regular wrestling ramblings and occasional football complaints out of Brandon here on ENRG Sport, and in the future as he aims to enter the niche area of wrestling journalism after he graduates.

Matthew Henderson

Matthew is a fourth-year Journalism student, mainly writing about Formula One. He has been an F1 fan long enough that he remembers a time when Mercedes was not winning everything single race. On the sad weekends without a Grand Prix, he spends his time watching a variety of esports or walking the dog.

Aaron Fraser

Aaron is a third-year Journalism student and the Heart of Midlothian Correspondent for ENRG Sport. A follower of Hearts and Edinburgh City, Aaron can often be found with a camera or a microphone in his hand, depending on what club he ends up at during the weekend’s games. Specialising in football, vlogging and the art of demolishing macaroni pies, Aaron would love to work in the football media industry in the future, whether that ends up being written journalism, videography or something else entirely.

Andrew Morrison

Andrew is a third-year Journalism student and currently works behind the scenes at Hibernian Women, a surprising fact considering he dared not talk to a woman for years… Andrew hails from Thurso, way up in the Highlands – something he’s only mentioned two or three dozen times. Andrew is open to learning and writing about sports in Scotland’s capital that don’t involve the use of a tractor. When not working at Easter Road on Sunday afternoons, he is a keen supporter of Caley Thistle and maintains an interest in football history.

Adam Bloszko

Adam is a third-year Journalism student, and likes to hoard collectibles. As an Arsenal fan he knows what pain is, and seems to have abandoned any concept of supporting a Scottish team. Adam hopes to run a company one day as well as be a full time journalist, but these are just some of the many things he aims to do in the future.

James McKenzie

James is a third-year Journalism student with aspirations of fashioning a career in sports broadcasting. He could talk about football until the cows come home whilst also maintaining a strong interest in tennis, combat sports and Formula 1. James follows Bonnyrigg Rose around the country as part of their media team, as well as being an armchair Celtic fan contributing to the ‘A Celtic State of Mind’ podcast.

Angus Blacklock

Angus is a second-year Journalism student. He co-hosts the ENRG Sport Podcast and can often be found rambling about the joys and dismays of Scottish football. Angus also spends a lot of his time going up and down the country reporting on Stenhousemuir FC as he is part of the media team set up over at Ochilview Park.

As well as football, Angus also takes a keen interest in golf. Which is a surprise to those that have had the displeasure of playing with him as it’s fair to say he won’t be heading to the PGA Tour or LIV Golf any time soon.

Thomas Harper

Thomas is a second-year Journalism student who contributes to ENRG Sport and Radio ENRG. He is a lifelong supporter of Aberdeen and mostly writes about Scottish football. Thomas’ other sporting interests include basketball, Formula One, and professional wrestling. He hopes to move into sports broadcasting or journalism once he graduates, but until then he plans to be involved with ENRG Sport and Radio ENRG for the foreseeable future.

Emma Russell

Emma is a first-year Journalism student with a strong passion for Formula One. Having grown up with sport, she follows everything from rugby and football, to cricket, tennis, and golf. Being a McLaren fan, her proudest moment was having a sporting conversation with F1 driver Lando Norris! Emma hopes to encourage other women to have the confidence to talk and share opinions about sport.
